Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City needs to invest more to convert the Southern Women’s Museum into a tourist attraction.

The Chairwoman made the statement when she visited the museum yesterday at 200 Vo Thi Sau Street in District 3.
Ms. Ngan stressed that southern women have set their heart on the museum which retain women’s good tradition and popularize it to next generation. Accordingly, city authorities should invest more to expand the exhibition section and to keep valuable exhibits aiming to turn it into one of tourist attraction to local and foreign visitors.
NA chairwoman Ngan and late Party Chief Nguyen Van Linh’s wife Ngo Thi Hue, one of Vietnam’s first National Assembly deputies in 1946 , paid visit to the museum’s display sections including a room where displays 100 Ao dai comprising Ms. Ngan’s Ao dai when she took an oath of office and pledged absolute allegiance to the motherland, people and constitution of Vietnam and utmost efforts to well-perform the tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people.
