HCMC learns innovative technology solutions from the Netherlands

This is the first time that the HCMC’s delegation has visited Eindhoven; therefore, the city Party chief desired that both sides would establish initial contacts to create a foundation for developing future cooperation activities.

Besides, he said that the city wants to learn experiences in the fields of smart city development and cooperation between State, enterprises, universities and research institutes, especially experiences in construction, operation of smart and creative cities.

On the same day, the delegation visited Eindhoven University of Technology to exchange experiences and orientations in smart city strategies as well as learn about new technologies of the university.

Within the visit framework, the city leaders also suggested enhancing cooperation in training human resources for the industry 4.0 with the university, which is the world's leading one for research cooperation with the industry.

Previously, the delegation had a tour to High Tech Campus Eindhoven and Signify Technology Group (formerly known as Philips Lighting), which are well-known about LED products, systems and services, to learn models of smart and connected lightning solutions.

On this occasion, representatives of Signify Technology Group introduced a number of products, systems and services to optimize consumption energy and bring efficiency for users.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is adopting planning projects of lighting urban, decoration, especially smart lighting systems.

In the third quarter of 2019, Ho Chi Minh City is expected to hold a workshop on this issue with a participation of Signify Group. As this reason, the city Party leader also proposed the Dutch technology group to support the locality in developing the urban lighting programs, especially for historical and cultural works with conservation values. 
Whereas, representatives from Signify Group also introduced some projects which the corporation has implemented in Vietnam in recent time such as Nhat Tan Bridge in capital city of Hanoi, Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, etc. The partner also affirmed to be ready for consulting smart lighting solutions for of Ho Chi Minh City.
