Urgent appeal for O type blood donors as fall in stocks

Dr. Bach Quoc Khanh, President of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, yesterday said the Institutehas been encouraging people to donate O type blood for treatment as the institute expected to be short of the blood in a few days.

The institute needs around 1,200 – 1,500 blood units averagely daily. inclusive of 700 O type blood units for emergency and treatments in 180 infirmaries in the North. However, its stock is low, accordingly, the institute is launching urgent appeal for O type blood donors.
Donors can give their blood at the institute in Pham Van Bach Street in Hanoi’s Cau Giay District or nearby medical clinics listed in the website https://www.nihbt.org.vn/Home/DiemHM
