Pre-eclampsia mother of triplet saved

Surgeons have saved a 31-year-old woman in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long yesterday who gave birth to triplets in the risk of pre-eclampsia, Can Tho Maternity Hospital announced.

The woman gave birth to triplets at 34 weeks by C-section because she was at risk of pre-eclampsia. Babies weighed 2.2 kg, 1.8 kg and 1.5 kg.
The mother has been in good condition.
Non-identical triplets occur around one in every 8,000 naturally conceived pregnancies, said medical expert.
The mother performed Kangaroo care or skin-to-skin contact with her premature babies.
