The Ministry ordered municipal and provincial people’s committees to call for all sectors and unions to join hands with the health sector to adopt measures against the outbreaks of HFMD in each locality.
Medical facilities must enhance supervision of the disease development, early detect fresh outbreaks and isolate it to handle thoroughly to curb the spread.
Infirmaries need to provide best treatment to serious inpatients in order to minimize the death. Moreover, medical workers should take heed to cross-infection amongst patients in hospitals and prepare medicine and equipment for disease prevention.
The education sector was asked to closely work with the health sector in increasing information of the disease including proactive measures in schools especially in preschools and kindergartens. These schools were requested to disinfect touched surface and toys in the new school year and discover infection cases early to handle the outbreaks.
Since the beginning of the year, 43,162 infection cases were reported in 63 cities and provinces nationwide. The disease drove 20,063 into hospitals without death. The figure showed a year-on-year decrease of 1.9 percent.
However, infection cases have been on the rise lately. It was predicted to leap in next week because the disease enters its season this time.
