Medical check-up, drugs provided gratis to poor residents in Ca Mau Province

Medical workers of the Medicine University in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday arrived in Ca Mau Province in the southern tip of Vietnam to provide gratis check-up and drugs to poor residents in communes Hoa Tan, Hoa Thanh and Dinh Binh.

The university’s annual activity aims to join hand with the local authorities in disadvantaged countryside areas across the country to take care of people’s health condition.
Leader of the medical worker group Dr. Truong Ba Quan said within one year, the group has twice provided charitable examination and treatment to low-income residents.
Medical workers have provided free consultation and scan, general examination and drugs to 600 poor senior people and families whose economic condition is on poverty line or close to poverty line.
