The center yesterday said that since the beginning of the year, the city has had 7,559 dengue cases, equivalent to last years’ figure. Though the city health has adopted many effective preventative measures but many localities failed to carry out it.

For instance, administration of District 2's Ward An Phu has not updated "dengue hot spots "  and places where possibly re-occur the disease.

Governments in several wards in Hoc Mon District  omitted places at high risk and some inspected residential blocks still have mosquito's larva. Some wards in district 10 have not controled the areas with high risk  while information of dengue places in district 9's Tan Nhon Phu Ward is not full fresh outbreaks causing difficulties in anti-dengue task.

To warn these administrations about this year's high season for the disease, the center proposed penalties on 56 governments of wards with fresh outbreaks. District 1, 12, Thu Duc and Hoc Mon issued  penalties on 19 administrations while other districts reported not to carry out.
