The toddler hailing from Mo Duc District was hospitalized in local infirmary before being transferred to the Maternity- Children Hospital in Da Nang for intensive treatment.
The toddler was suffering serious breathing problem and convulsion in Quang Ngai Maternity - Children Hospital where took him to Da Nang infirmary yet he succumbed to the disease.
As per local health authority, around 1,300 infection cases have been recorded, doubling the same period last year. Many of cases are caused by virus Enterovirus 71 (EV71), a type of dangerous virus.
Children from one to five years old are vulnerable to the disease.
