German Film Festival in Vietnam to begin

The German Film Festival in Vietnam will be held in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Thai Nguyen from September 5 to October 3.

Films by famous directors and young filmmakers will be shown, including Barbara; Kaddish for a Friend; Victor and the Secret of Crocodile;  Mansion Four Days in May;  Animals United-Adventure in Africa; Hell (16+);  Home for the Weekend; Stopped on Track;  Sound of Heimat; and Vincent wants to Sea.

The festival will be a chance for Vietnamese movie lovers to experience great cinema and discover Germany from a new perspective via the silver screen.

The film fest will present to audiences movies about home and identity, extraordinary love and passion, tolerance and death, friendship and responsibility. Viewers will be attracted with emotional cinema and current issues. Films are humorous, dramatic, historic or sad; there is something from everything and for everyone.

The screenings will take place at the National Cinema Center in Hanoi from September 5-11; Cong Nhan Theater in Hai Phong from September 10-15; the People’s Theater in Thai Nguyen from September 6-8; Center for Culture & Information in Hue from September 12-18; Le Do Cinema in Da Nang from September 13-18; Mini Cinema-Khanh Hoa Film Center in Nha Trang from September 5-8; Cinebox in HCMC from September 27 to October 3.
