Flood, low-pressure predicted to hit central region by year-end

The National Center for Hydro meteorological Forecasting said the central region is predicted to be hit by more storms, low-pressure in 2018.

The center said low-pressure will appear in the areas of East Sea and then moving towards the south of East Sea by the end of this year.

The central region will be affected by more and more storms and low-pressures.

The flood will also be able hit the rivers in the central and central highlands earlier than expected.

In October to December, the southern region and the coastal central provinces of Phu Yen and Phan Thiet are warned able to experience high tide.

In order to cope with this year’s disaster, the center said its main task in 2018 is to build more early disaster warning systems, observation systems aiming to announce the ongoing storm, flood, low-pressure in the country.
