HCMC, Australia tie up for Education and Training cooperation

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ministry of Education and Communities of New South Wales on May 29, for the purpose of exchanging education and training.

Ho Chi Minh City and the Australian State of New South Wales have agreed to exchange information on education and training; develop a network of colleges and vocational training schools; and provide software copyrights as well as equipment and training to teachers.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, for the academic year 2013-2014, students of Thu Duc College of Technology, Nguyen Huu Canh Technical and Economic College, and Phu Lam Technical Economic College will receive TAFE training.

On the same day, Thu Duc College of Technology received representatives from the Ministry of Education and Communities of New South Wales under an exchange program. The two sides discussed several areas of study such as IT, Tourism and Hospitality in which the Ministry of Education and Communities of New South Wales will give support.
