Canon funds classroom, rest room construction in Quang Binh Province

Canon Marketing Vietnam has funded VND300 million ($12,892) to build classrooms and rest rooms for a school in Ke village in the central province of Quang Binh’s Tuyen Hoa District to help local kids have a better learning place.

The company and the local communist union co-held an opening ceremony of the school this morning. At the ceremony, gifts were handed to kids also.
Principal Vo Van Bang expressed his happiness at the ceremony saying that the school mangers are grateful to Canon Marketing Vietnam. He expected that Japanese company will help other schools to bring better learning to all Vietnamese in poor districts.
Speaking at the ceremony, Canon Marketing Director Hiroshi Yokota said creating better learning places for children is the company’s top priority wishing  that Vietnamese ethnic minority will learn in the new school to pursue their dream.
Additionally, Canon Marketing Vietnam dropped by a house of a poor student, Nguyen Van Quy, who suffers an innate defect and gave a gift to him in order to encourage him in learning. Disadvantaged households in the village received also gifts from the company.
So far, Canon has funded construction of 59 other schools across the country including building more than 77 classrooms, 12 toilets and wash-hand basin as well as gifted 240 bicycles to students with total of VND5 billion ($214,888).
