Vietnam Musicians' Association celebrates its 60th anniversary

The Vietnam Musicians' Association on December 17 held an art program celebrating its 60th anniversary at Hanoi Opera House.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highlighted outstanding contribution of the Vietnam Musicians' Association and its members over the past 60 years. He encouraged the association to continue promoting its creativity and contributions to the society.
The Vietnam Musicians' Association has currently more than 1,500 members, including composers, musicologists, performance artists and educators. There were 22 musicians who received the “Ho Chi Minh Award” and 120 members who were presented the State’s prizes for Literature and Arts.
On the same day, a ceremony marking the 50th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Folk Culture Association was held in Hanoi.
