Training courses for theory, criticism of literature and art opens in city

The Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Art opened a meeting to improve knowledge management skills and understanding of arts in HCMC on September 10.

The event was attended by Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan and 267 delegates from cities and provinces in the southern region.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Nguyen The Ky reviewed activities in the recent past related to the training work of literature and art criticism, and the 5-year implementation of the Resolution of the 9th plenum of the 11th Party Central Committee on the development of people and culture for Vietnam’s sustainable development.

Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan also highlighted significant changes that have been recorded in people’s cultural life. He stressed the important role of culture and art literature to the city’s development.

The 3-day long meeting will include several seminars and workshops, including the 5-year implementation of the Party Resolution 33 on “Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet demands for sustainable development of the country”.
