People’s Artist Tue Minh passes away at 80

People’s Artist Tue Minh, one of the great names of Vietnamese revolutionary cinema passed away at the age of 80 at her home in Hanoi on February 24.

She was famous due to a series of popular feature pictures, including Mot Ngay Dau Thu (The First Day of Fall), Vi Tuyen 17 Ngay Va Dem (Parallel 17 Days and Nights), Ngay Le Thanh (The Holly Day), Vo Chong Anh Luc (Mr and Mrs Luc) and among many others.
Besides these movies, she was also known for her role in dramas, such as the role of “Phuong” in the play titled Cach mang (Revolution) by writer Nguyen Khai.
The actress was honored with the title “People’s Artist” in 2016 and won the “Best actress” award at the 2nd Vietnam Film Festival for the movie “Vo Chong Anh Luc” (Mr and Mrs Luc).
She was wife of Vietnamese writer and a composer, Nguyen Dinh Thi.
Her funeral will be held from 7-9 a.m. on February 26 at the Cau Giay Funeral Hall, Hanoi.
