Nude photo exhibition of famed Vietnamese artist in HCMC Fine Arts Association

Exhibition of nude photo of famed artist, Thai Phien, has been staged in the Ho Chi Minh Fine Arts Association at 218A Pasteur Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 3 from October 19 to 26.
This is the first time Thai Phien’s works dubbed "Hon Da" (The Soul of Stone) on stone. Artist Thai Phien and his friends have spent several months to do the photo-to-stone transfer technique.
Having taken nude photos for 30 years, artist Phien has displayed his first individual exhibition to the public.
Before, in 2018, he was one of ten Vietnamese artists whose nude exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in Hanoi. The exhibition is considered as an important milepost because nude exhibition has been recognized in the country and open to the public.
Artist Phien has been awarded as many as 50 prizes locally and internationally. His over 300 photos have been displayed in 60 nations in the world; two of them are displayed forever in Spain’s Photograph Museum Institute.
