Enjoying “A Touch of Belgium” in Hanoi this weekend

An event celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Vietnam, called “A Touch of Belgium” event opens at Ly Thai To Flower Garden in Hanoi on May 12.

A series of cultural activities will be held during the event with the participation of local and international artists.
The Majorettes twirling marching band together with the cheerleading squad of Hanoi Foreign Trade University and children of the Hanoi Be Singer Club will perform parades in live music from the Hanoi Brass Band.
Nicolas Coutsier, a young and talented choreographer from Belgium, and Vietnamese young dancers from the Kinergie Studio will present a contemporary dancing show titled “Exploring Connections”.
Belgian DJ Simon Medard and Cambodian VJ Daniel Long (d.one) will bring their best work to enliven the event with awesome live music and striking visuals.
The highlight is a “Smurf corner” with beloved blue creatures called Smurfs who are celebrating their 60th birthday this year. Visitors has also a chance to learn about activities of Belgian non-governmental organizations in Vietnam and enjoy Belgian specialities.
