Chinese Parallel Sentence Contest Ends

Mr. Dich Minh Kien of Dong Nai Province and Mr. Tran Thieu Nhat of Ho Chi Minh City won the first prizes in a contest to parallel sentences written in Chinese honoring the Vietnamese Communist Party and the country’s integration into the world economy.

From November in 2007 to January in this year, the organizing board received more than 500 entries of 114 composers in Ho Chi Minh City, the central provinces, the East-Southern region, and the Mekong Delta.

There were 26 prizes divided equally into two categories, the composition of parallel sentences and repartee.

The competition was organized by the Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and the Ancient Poem Club under the city’s Association of Literature and Ethnic Arts.
