34th National Television Festival opens in Hue

The 34th National Television Festival opened in Hue City in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on December 17.

The event attracted nearly 100 television production companies featuring more than 500 works of all genres, including children’s programs, documentary, reportage, science and education, talk shows, dialogue, programs in ethnic minority languages, music, and TV serial.

As part of the event, there will be photo exhibitions, nominated work screenings, exchanges between television makers and audiences.

Highlights of the festival will be three seminars on the production of agriculture and rural development programs, the power of breaking news, new media - opportunities and challenges for television stations in the Internet Video Age.

Films will be shown free of charge at screening room in Century Hotel.

The 34th National Television Festival is scheduled to run until December 20.
