Export value of some farm produce sees increase

However, ten-month exports merely rose 0.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

Of which, exports of key agricultural commodities were estimated at $10.94 billion, down 12.3 percent.

Noticeably, while rice, coffee, rubber, and tea saw a decline in volume and value, other commodities posted a significant increase, including cashew with 15.5 percent in volume and 8.5 percent in value, pepper with 19.7 percent and 17.1 percent respectively, and wood and wooden products with 14.8 percent.

Seafood exports in particular, in first ten months of 2013 reached $5.37 billion, up 6 percent year-on-year.
