Viet Nam’s exports to the EU market in 2007 may reach US$8.5 billion, up 23.1% from last year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade forecasts. Apparel and garment, wooden products, and seafood are three main export products to the EU. The total export turnover has so far reached around US$6 billion, coming very near the set target.

Meanwhile, export turnover of Vietnamese electrical spare parts and computers is likely to exceed US$2 billion this year, said the Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Electronic Enterprises Association, Tran Quang Hung.
The EU is the second largest export market for Viet Nam; the first is the US.
