The Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City says it is seeking to further bolster sales of Vietnamese products in neighboring Cambodia, home to about 14 million people.
The ITPC has conducted a preliminary survey of the neighboring nation’s distribution channels and market. It has also held exhibitions of Vietnamese products in Kampot, Sihanoukville, and Siem Reap.
It plans to run campaigns on Cambodian television to further popularize the image of Vietnam and Vietnamese products and hold a trade fair at Battambang in November.
Vietnamese products have a major advantage in the Cambodian market since price, in general, is the biggest factor there, the center said.
