64 IT products, services win Sao Khue Awards

The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) yesterday honored 64 IT products and services that won Sao Khue Awards.

The award-giving ceremony was held in Hanoi with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

After three months since the launch in January, the award organizer selected and decided to give awards to 64 excellent products and services in terms of socio-economic efficiency, brand reputation, revenue and market share, as well as customers and technological innovation.

Speaking at the award-giving ceremony, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam lauded the contribution of VINASA and entrepreneurs for the IT development and the country’s economic growth during 15 years. He also congratulated winning enterprises.

Prestige Top 10 Sao Khue Award were given to seven excellent products and three services which have gained large turnover, users, and effects in solving matters in education, traffic e-commerce, further improving Vietnam’s position on the international IT map.

Revenue of the top 10 winning companies reached more than VND12,129 billion ( $539 million), higher than the sector’s revenue in 2008, offering employment to 16,700 people.

The award was first launched in 2003. After 15 years, the awards were presented to over 669

Vietnamese outstanding products and services.

Amongst Top 10 award, one startup business won the award showing a positive sign for the potential of startup community.
